About the Chief Editor
Dr. Shayestehfar, is currently an associate professor is Islamic Art studies at Tarbiat Modares University of Tehran and has accomplished many research projects in the fields of Islamic-Iranian art, traditional crafts, applied arts and architecture. Furthermore, she is also the founder and CEO of the Institute of Islamic Art Studies (est. 1999) which focuses on publishing books in arts and research studies. She was also the head of the Islamic Art department of Tarbiat Modares University and has supervised many MA and PhD dissertations in regard to Islamic Art studies. Dr. Shayestehfar has published over 200 articles in national and international journals and has attended numerous conferences as a keynote speaker. Furthermore, she is the editorial member of four peer-reviewed journals, the manager and editor-in-chief of two ISC journals in the fields of Islamic-Iranian arts and crafts, chairwomen of four scientific conferences, head of the Islamic Research Center of Negareh. She has also completed over 20 national and international projects in fields of Islamic-Iranian art, handicrafts and in topics regarding Islamic-Iranian culture and civilization.
